My Shoe Collection

So as some of you may know, I am slightly obsessed with shoes. As I am very short I love wearing heels, whether these are my small heeled boots for every day wear, or my huge heels that I wear on a night out, I am obsessed. So I thought I would share part of my shoe collection with you, I have many more shoes, I have too many shoes to be honest (really, can a girl ever have too many shoes) but I hardly go out so the need for so many pairs of heels is just unnecessary! I've also put in my favourite comfy flats that I wear a lot. So here are some of my shoes, enjoy!

Let me know what you think of my ever growing shoe collection, and thank you for reading!

My OOTD

So I have never done an OOTD post, but I really liked what I was wearing today so I thought I would share it with you. I spent the day with my nephews and then met my dad for coffee, so I thought I would just wear something simple and basically just chucked it on this morning but then decided I really liked it. I don't really like pictures of me and I definitely don't do posing, I prefer to be behind the camera! So excuse my awkward frame in these pictures, but this is my outfit.

I never usually wear a coat shorter than me jumper/top but I liked how it looked today. I wore my Topshop leather jacket which this cute thin jumper from New Look. The jumper has little leather shoulder pads which although you can't see them when I have my jacket on, I thought they looked really nice when I wasn't wearing my jacket indoors. I wore black leggins from F&F which are slightly worn, I really need to buy a new pair! I also wore a plain black vest top under my jumper as it was slightly too short to cover my bum. I bought these new boots from New Look, I have never owned or worn brown boots before, as you all know I tend to wear a lot of black, so I thought I would go for something different and bought the brown boots, which I thought just broke up the black outfit nicely. I added this eagle necklace from New Look to try to stop the outfit looking so plain. I shoved my hair in a small bun which was just an easy option as I was in a slight rush this morning, as always! I'll pop some pictures below so you can have a cheeky look, and let me know what you think.

What do YOU think.

So as most of you know, I've been crazy with work this weekend, as well as not having a laptop, so it's been hard for me to post! So I thought I would do something slightly different today.

I want to know what you think I should try or review or you just think I may like. An item or a brand or an item of clothing you think might suit me. Or maybe you have bought something recently that you want to tell me about, good or bad. So let me know on here, or on twitter!

I will have a proper post up tomorrow for you all, I cannot wait to hear what you all suggest for me!

17 Party Eyes Collection

So for my birthday my sister bought me this Party Eyes Collection by 17 and I finally got round to trying it out, and I am in love! I thought I would show you what was inside.

This is the outside of the box, I thought it looked really really pretty.

This is everything you get inside, you get two thick eye pencils, two glitter pens, two (technically four) eye shadows, two sets of eyelashes, mascara and eye lash glue.

I really love 17 mascara's, I have tried a lot of different mascara's but 17 has always won for me, and this one was no disappointment.

These are my 'Day lashes', I loved the idea of having two sets of eyelashes, one for the day and one for a night out. I love these ones because they could be worn for either day or not, and they aren't too over the top.

These are my 'Night lashes' they are really small and simple but with diamonds on them which I thought was a really nice touch, again they aren't over the top or too in your face. I think these would be lovely for a posh night out. These also came with a little eyelash glue.

This black eye pencil is fabulous, I love it because it is something that I can use on a daily basis as well as when I want to do my eyes up for a night out, and you can never go wrong with black.

I wasn't too sure on this metallic eye pencil when I first saw it but I really like it on, it isn't too over the top or childish looking like I thought it may have been.

These glitter liners are just so cute, I love adding things like glitter to my make up just to give it that extra boom it needs when I am going out. These aren't clumpy or gloopey like I found a lot of liquid glitter liners to be, and they also don't give out too much glitter that it is over the top.

I always tend to wear black or white make up but I have recently been trying to experiment with different colours, these browns and purple are so perfect for the weather at the moment and I can't wait to bring them into my daily make up and start replacing blacks with other colours

(even if it is only brown or purple!)

Thank you for reading, let me know if you've used these products before or if you were planning on trying any of them out!

Contouring

So I've heard a lot of people talk about Contouring recently, and for those of you that don't know, here is a description :

"Contouring is the art of shading and highlighting to bring out or lessen features. It works best when you use the same colour family, in lighter and darker shades. For instance, for blusher you blush as normal and if you want to have killer cheekbones, add a touch of a blusher a couple shades darker just under where you have put your blush, where you have slight hollows. This makes your cheekbones pop. Then you can add a lighter, shimmery colour on the top of your cheekbones. Blend as you don't want stripes. The darker shades recede things ( make them look smaller) and the lighter makes them stand out. I have a very slight double chin. If you take a brush with a little blush or bronzer on it and brush from under chin towards neck, straight down, it disappears. I have shaded it away! For noses, if its too long, a dab of blush/bronze on the end helps, or if too wide, brush a little on either side leaving the middle free. Experiment using the light/dark rule."

I didn't write this, mainly because of the fact I am useless at explaining things, I tend to say 'erm' 'like' and 'stuff' too much! I have quite a round face and don't have features that 'pop' so I thought I would try it out! I bought new make up for this, I used the MUA conceal & brighten kit in porcelain - beige, this cost me £2.50. I also used the MUA bronzer in shade 2 which cost me £1 and the baked highlighter from Savers which cost me £1.

My face does this thing where it turns really weird when a camera is present and turned really strange, so please excuse it, it doesn't mean to.

Firstly, I put on the highlighter, I put this on the middle of my nose, spreading up on to my forehead, under my eyes, on my chin, just above my cheek bones and under my eyebrows.

I then put on the bronzer, I placed this down the side (on the bone, if that makes sense) of my nose, either side of where I had put the highlighter on my nose, I also put bronzer, under the highlighter under my eyebrows, just under my cheek bones and along my jaw line.

So this is the finished look, I'm not 100% sure I  look much different but it depends on the person. I have no features to make look better because my face is just very round, so it would work differently on each individual person.

Always remember to blend so you don't have different coloured lines on your face!

Thank you guys for reading and let me know how you get on if you try. Also if you have any advice how to do this better then please let me know!

Cheap Make-up VS Big Brand Make-up

Hey guys! So as you all probably know by now, I like to try to spend as little as possible but still get good quality. Recently I bought some Mac products which I am completely in love with, I can really see the obsession, but I still think they are overpriced, as are a lot of other brands. Personally I don't have the money to spend a lot on make up, which is why I would much prefer to explore the cheaper brands and try to find something I like. It's better to spend £1 on a lipstick and decide you don't like the shade, rather than £20 and then lose out. That is my view anyway!

At the moment I am loving MUA at Superdrug and Seventeen at Boots. Both are super cheap but still really good make up, and I hate to say it, but I still prefer these to my more expensive brands such as Mac. I will always be a bargain hunter and prefer good deals but these two brands are just crazily cheap for what they are. I have a few bits from MUA including eye shadows, lipsticks and nail varnishes and  I have loads of items from Seventeen, the foundation, eyebrow kit and mascara are in my 'everyday' make up bag, which says a lot!

These are a few pictures if some of the things I own, from MUA and Seventeen. As you can see some packaging is nicer than others, which is obviously very important because if it doesn't look nice then you wont want to buy it, but I think most of them are presentable, some very nice looking.

Thank you for reading and let me know your views!
