The Oscars 2014

It has been a whole week since the Oscars, how crazy!
I thought I would share with you who I thought looked amazing. I caught some of the red carpet action on TV but didn't manage to watch it all, but here is who I thought looked fabulous. I love the simplicity of the dresses this year, no one was too over the top and most of them are block colours with minimum jewellery, which usually I dislike but works so well with events such as an award ceremony, remember, sometimes less is more!

Here is who I thought looked kind of 'meh', like they could've done better but I still like them. (except brad pitt never looks meh, mmmm)

And here are my 'what the hell were they thinking?!' outfits. Some people have lovely pharrell's shorts, I think it is a huge no no, expectationally with his short height (and very tall wife).

My Style Icon

So as you all know I am a huge 'Lovatic', for those of you that do not know, it means I am a fan of Demi Lovato. And before you stop reading, no this isn't a post about everything great about her!
I have always been a fan of Demi and especially the way she dresses. She can go to uber casual to glam in what seems like 60 seconds. I love the fact she has always kept a similar style and dresses for her body shape. She is rarely seen in anything too short (no awkward bum shots as of yet) but she does like to flaunt the parts of her body she likes. I also adore her hair, she is very much like me with hair colours, going slightly crazy and enjoying bright colours, which you don't see with a lot of celebrities, and I also love that she doesn't take herself too seriously.
She is one of my huge icons in both life and fashion.

The picture above (I am sure you can figure out which one) is from Demi's trip to Africa, for her 21'st birthday she went to Kenya to help people. Even in this plain outfit she still managed to look fabulous, how?!

My Shoe Collection

So as some of you may know, I am slightly obsessed with shoes. As I am very short I love wearing heels, whether these are my small heeled boots for every day wear, or my huge heels that I wear on a night out, I am obsessed. So I thought I would share part of my shoe collection with you, I have many more shoes, I have too many shoes to be honest (really, can a girl ever have too many shoes) but I hardly go out so the need for so many pairs of heels is just unnecessary! I've also put in my favourite comfy flats that I wear a lot. So here are some of my shoes, enjoy!

My OOTD

So I have never done an OOTD post, but I really liked what I was wearing today so I thought I would share it with you. I spent the day with my nephews and then met my dad for coffee, so I thought I would just wear something simple and basically just chucked it on this morning but then decided I really liked it. I don't really like pictures of me and I definitely don't do posing, I prefer to be behind the camera! So excuse my awkward frame in these pictures, but this is my outfit.

I never usually wear a coat shorter than me jumper/top but I liked how it looked today. I wore my Topshop leather jacket which this cute thin jumper from New Look. The jumper has little leather shoulder pads which although you can't see them when I have my jacket on, I thought they looked really nice when I wasn't wearing my jacket indoors. I wore black leggins from F&F which are slightly worn, I really need to buy a new pair! I also wore a plain black vest top under my jumper as it was slightly too short to cover my bum. I bought these new boots from New Look, I have never owned or worn brown boots before, as you all know I tend to wear a lot of black, so I thought I would go for something different and bought the brown boots, which I thought just broke up the black outfit nicely. I added this eagle necklace from New Look to try to stop the outfit looking so plain. I shoved my hair in a small bun which was just an easy option as I was in a slight rush this morning, as always!
