My Gifts

So I won a give away from a lovely girl called Jemma from www.adrugstoreaddiction.blogspot.co.uk, I am so happy with the gifts she sent me I thought I would do a little post about it to share with you what I won - does it count as winning? I'm sure it does! You can also watch the video of my unwrapping everything here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4wdVqe3X-8&feature=youtu.be

A Yankee Candle in Pink Dragon Fruit was also in the give away however Jemma forgot to add it in the package so is sending it separately, but I couldn't wait to show you what I got!

First of all, how blummin' cute is this sticker she put on the packaging?! 'Lots of love from me'.

It was wrapped up, looking all pretty in pink polka dots.

First I got these super cute candy canes, I love these but rarely have them any other time than Christmas so I was so excited by these, you all know how much I love sweets!

Now lets get onto the beauty bits!

Parfums Love 'My Love' body lotion, I've never heard of this but it is meant to be so good, and it smells fabulous!

The Godmother soap from Lush, it smells so amazing, I'm so excited to use this!

Glam Eyes by Rimmel London, I love the mix of colours, they are all colours that I will use, the dark blue and white will most likely be used most days for work.

As you all know I am trying to give my hair a lot of TLC and it is in amazing condition, even after bleaching it the other day (surprise, I've got a bit more blonde!) and this is going to help with my hair so much.

The last item is my favourite and I've been so excited to receive this, it's a Topshop lipstick in Innocent, a really beautiful light pink that is perfect for work. I've never got round to buying a topshop lipstick but I've heard so many great things about them!

Thank you much Jemma and congratulations on 100 followers on Bloglovin'!

My Laptop

So guys, I am so so sorry to have to tell you AGAIN that my laptop is broken, again. It's gone away for another week, so it's going to be another week with little blog posts and I am so so sorry for that.
I will try to post on here and on my youtube as much as possible, but as I probably won't be seeing Dave due to my crazy working hours this week (it's sale at Next, I'll say no more!)
I really am so sorry and I will try to make this work as well as I can, I'm really hoping they either fix my laptop or give me a new one because I am beyond fed up with it now!
I can't really do anything except apologise and try my best to make this work.

Thank you for putting up with my constant technology problems, hopefully I'll be able to save up for another new laptop at some point (my one is only 7 months old!!)

Thing I Wish I Had Known

So I was thinking back to when I was younger and I just wish I could go back and tell little ol' me a few things.

1) Actually work at school, don't worry about making friends or anything because chances are you won't speak to these people in a few years but you really need to concentrate on your studies.

2) Boys will break your heart, don't fall for their kind words because again, chances are, you won't still be with them in a few years.

3) Don't try to be someone you are not, you are you for a reason so why not be the best you that you can be?

4) You might feel sad now but it will get better, keep your head up and don't let anyone's mean words get to you.

5) Don't wish your childhood away, one day you will be older and realise you wish you were young again.

What would you say to your younger self?

Drinking

I had quite a few people ask me things about my post on Monday, and I thought I would just pop everything into a blog post for you.
I do drink, I love having a glass of wine after work or going to the put for a pint, and I also love going for nights out with my friends, but there are a few things I don't enjoy. I used to drink quite a lot when I was younger, me and my friends would just go and drink as much as we could until we passed out or started vomiting, and I know I sound like a right old lady but I've grown up from that and it has put me off drinking loads.
On a night out you either come across this person, whether it's a stranger or one of your friends, or you are this person. These are just from personal experience, I'm sure there are a lot of other types of people you will come across!

1) The Vomiter, someone will always vom, whether it's in a toilet or all over themselves/someone else/the floor (or for me, all over myself on a public bus, but we won't go into that story!)

2) The cryer, why does someone always end up crying?!

3) The Dancer, so I love a good dance, why go on a night out and just sit in the corner? However 'the dancer' to me is that one person that is so drunk they think they are Beyonce, whether they are attempting to break dance or just look sexy, it really isn't working for you pal.

4) The Chatter Up-er, this can be male or female, and they will just try everything to get your number, I've said no 8 times, how many more times will it take for you to leave me alone? This is especially annoying for us that aren't using the 'I'm in a relationship' as just an excuse, do I really have to show you a picture of him for you to leave me alone?!

5) The Slut, again this can be male or female, the same as all of these, I'm not calling all guys or girls this that and the other! That one person that will dance with anyone and their aim for the night is to get laid.

6) The Over Spender, I usually take £20 out on a standard night out, I really shouldn't need to spend more than that, however there is always that one person that decides they have to buy everyone in the club a drink and then at the end of the night moan because they have spent so much, I didn't ask you to spend £100 on a round of drinks!

7) The Designated Driver, I have so much respect for people that go out and say no to drinking because they are driving, one thing I really hate is drink driving. However you get those people that offer then just moan all night, just don't go if you are going to moan, or don't drive and get a taxi? And then there is the opposite which is people moaning to the driver 'oh one drink wont work' or 'just have a drink, you will be fine' etc, just no.

8) The Over Drinker, yes I know you said you could definitely down 15 shots in a row but now you are on the floor and definitely not having a good night, I'm sure you would've been fine just having a few less.

9) The Attention Seeker, oh no that guy over there is speaking to someone that isn't you, you definitely should go over there, but in and get all of his attention, until you notice someone else not paying you attention obviously...

10) The Just One More, my feet are hurting, I'm tired and drunk and I just want chips and ketchup and my bed, what I do not want is 'just one more' which will end up being another few more.

They are just a few of the people I notice on a night out, and one of the reasons I just don't enjoy going to clubs anymore, I don't appreciate being groped, pushed around and attempting to dance on a floor that is way too sticky.

I hope you enjoyed this post, it was just a bit of humour so please don't take offence to anything.

Veil Cover Cream

This product was sent to me by a company, I didn't pay for this product, nor was I paid to review it.

As most of you probably know, I have a few tattoo's, so when Veil contacted me asking me to try out their product I was more than happy to accept. It is made for people with birthmarks, scars, stretch marks etc, however it does also cover tattoo's.
My first attempt was a bit terrible and it seems like one of those things that would get a lot better with practise. It didn't take as long as I expected however after I did leave it for a while to make sure it was 100% dry as I am not sure if it would stain clothes or anything, I doubt it but I was still being very cautious.
I did a video of this which is up on my youtube channel and you can see the coverage better on there, however I would like to point out again that this was my first time trying it and there was no instructions!
They sent me this pack which has so many different colours in, I had no idea where to start. I put green down first to block out the ink (Dave suggested it and it actually worked) I then used a mix of natural and peach to cover up the green, I didn't do the whole tattoo so I that you can see it gradually disappear, where as the other side is more of a line so you can see the difference.

I am actually really impressed with this, I have a friend with a birthmark similar to the one on the cover so I am so excited to try it out on her.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and thank you Veil for sending me this product!

My First Hen Party

So this weekend was my mom's best friends hen party but as it was Dave's birthday I had to say I couldn't go, however on Saturday Dave decided he wanted a 'lads night out' so I called up my mom and said I would be there! They were all there from Friday so I just turned up half way through, haha!
I had never been to a hen party, although I knew this wasn't a 'go out partying' kind of one you see on films, this was a lot more relaxed. My aunty had booked a huge barn conversion cottage that we all stayed in, we sat in the garden drinking champagne, we played pinata (which is really difficult by the way!) then danced the night away. As I knew I would be driving the next morning I didn't want to drink too much, however I don't really drink much anyway so I knew I would have fun without being hammered.
On the Saturday day they had all gone out to a spa for treatments and all had a manicure. It was such a relaxed weekend and so much fun, I definitely prefer thing like that to going on a night out where everyone is just that little bit too drunk.
I got there at around 8.30 so it was still light, and it was surrounded by a farm (but surprisingly there was no 'farm' smell at all) so off I went to see the animals, I cuddled a horse, stroked a sheep and had an oinking match with a pig, did you know that pigs don't actually 'oink' it is more of a grumbling sound, or at lease these pigs sounded like that!
The bride to be's daughter is one of my best friends, I've known her basically my whole like (minus the few months she wasn't born) and we are like sisters, however she now lives with her dad in Spain so it is super hard not seeing her, but she was there and oh my god I've never been so excited to see someone, I literally just jumped out of my car and onto her and we hugged for a good 5 minutes while my mom just stood looking like a lemon.
I did vlog some of it but as I wasn't really expecting to go, it was a real last minute decision I didn't really get time to do much as my storage on my phone was full and I hadn't got my camera with me, the usual unorganised Bex haha!
This post is on one hand just telling you what I did, but on the other hand reminding you that you can have fun without drinking and without doing what you would usually do. a lot of my friends think the only way to have fun is to go out and get super drunk when it reality, there is so many things I would prefer to do and if I am ever lucky enough to have a hen party I would love it to be a more relaxed night instead of the stress of a night out!

I do have a few more beauty and fashion posts coming this week (a few reviews too), but I am really enjoying lifestyle posts at the moment.

A Little Update

As some of you may know, I bought myself a new laptop for my birthday in January, and I have had problems ever since however it still worked slightly and I knew I couldn't live without it if I sent it off to be fixed, but last week it got to the point where my laptop was basically useless so I went over to PC World and explained the problem, they checked it all and said it was because I hadn't updated windows, so off I went back home feeling a bit silly that it was something so simple that I hadn't done. When I got home I had the same problems I had been having and I was not too happy, so the next day I went back to PC World and they checked it again and the main part of the motherboard was broken and needed fixing - this was found using exactly the same program they had used the day before, so god knows how they managed to not notice the problem, so off my laptop went to be fixed, and I have only just got it back, hence the lack of blogging for the past week.
I do have the Blogger app on my phone however I just find it useless, I have tried to use it so many times. I find it find for a short post with no picture or anything but I just don't like it (sorry blogger!) but anyway, my laptop is now back and seems to be working fine, yay!
I just wanted to explain to you all why I have been away for a week and to let you all know that there will be a new blog post up tomorrow and daily after that - until the next technology disaster! I have some exciting posts coming your way this week so keep your eyes peeled!

Thank you all for putting up with me not being here.
