The Fault in our Stars

Firstly I would just like to say I will not be posting any spoilers or anything, I'm not that mean!
So, I don't even know how to start with post as I am currently an emotional wreck. Yep, you guessed it, I just went to see The Fault in our Stars.
I read the book a few months ago and just fell in love, I read it in less than 4 hours because I just couldn't put it down, it still has pages that can't really be read because my tears smudged the ink.
For those of you reading this that haven't read the book or seen the film, you really cannot understand the emotions running through my body right now.
If you are the lucky people in America/Canada etc and the film is already out by you, then you probably don't need to read this, but us English don't have the privilege of it being in cinemas until June 19th, however I was lucky enough to go to a preview tonight, and I have literally just walked through the door and come straight to my laptop as I need to vent and just go a bit crazy, so if you are looking for a 'normal' review then you are not in luck.
If you are one of these people (like myself) that are constantly disappointed with films of books you loved, then honestly, you don't need to worry about this film. I noticed three small parts that weren't included and that was it, you will not be disappointed. However I would advise taking lots of tissues, there wasn't a dry eye in the cinema - which made me feel a hell of a lot better about pouring my eyes out and having make up all smeared on my face. I was just incredible.
I don't know if it is best that you read the book or not, I knew what was about to happen so was crying like a crazy person in preparation instead of just when things happened, it was just a constant flow of tears then a few break downs.
If you haven't yet read the book or if you aren't a book person then please do not say to me 'its only a book', 'you do realise they aren't real don't you?' or anything along those lines because honestly, I do not really care for your opinion and I am sure most of the people that read this book (and cried a shit ton) will be on me with this one, or anyone that reacts to books in this fashion really!
I can't do an actual review of this, because of the fact that I don't want to give anything away and my brain isn't really working right now, I don't know how to feel. We went back to the car after seeing it and just sat for like 20 minutes because none of us could do anything (yes it really is that good/sad).

I'm sorry for my crazy vent/rant whatever you want to call it, but if this is your type of film (or even if it isn't) then go and see it, but don't forget tissues and chocolate, honestly you will need them.

Thank you reading, if you made it this far through the post then well done, haha!

Younique 3D Mascara Review

So firstly, I'm sorry I haven't posted for a few days, I had a tooth removed and it has left me in a lot of pain and I've just wanted to sleep a lot, as well as working every day this week, so I haven't really had time to post, sorry guys!

I recently tried out the 3D mascara by Younique, from what I can gather it is a company like Avon, so they have representatives that sell the products from themselves. A lovely lady called Angela contacted me and asked me to try this product out, and as always, these views are totally my own, I wouldn't tell you something was good when I didn't think it was.

So it comes in this snazzy sun-glasses style case, which I sat and played with for a while because you know I'm basically a 5 year old. Inside the case are two tubes, one is 'Transplanting Gel' and the other is 'Natural Fibres' I know these sound terrifying and more like some kind of surgery tools, but they aren't as scary as they sound! The Transplanting Gel is very mascara like, and the Natural Fibres are just fluffy bits on a mascara style wand, so bizarre!

I actually found this product loads easier to apply that I thought it would be, and it is definitely something that would get easier with practice, and believe me, I will be getting lots of practise using this because I love it. I have naturally long eyelashes, but being a girl I just want more. I occasionally wear false eyelashes on big occasions and sometimes on nights out, but this is basically a mascara that looks like fake eyelashes, but looks natural at the same time. I'm really not doing a good job of explaining this, haha!

Here is one eye done and one eye with just my normal mascara on, as you can tell it does make a huge difference, and I think it would work whether you have short or long eye lashes. These are stills from my youtube video because me being the clever one I am, forgot to take photo's of my eyelashes when they were done. They are all cropped, however the last one is from far away so you can see even when I wasn't that close to the camera my eyelashes are still noticeably different - if you watch the video, you will understand. Apparently it is hard to get a still from my video when I am not pulling a really silly face!

I did post a youtube video if you want to see me testing this product out, and also there is the link to buy this product in the description of the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxESqwi1UCI&feature=youtu.be

Thank you so much Angela for sending me this, I am in love, and thank you guys for reading.

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer

So as you all know, I was super excited to buy these Velvet Lip Lacquer from Make Up Academy, they are part of their Luxe range and just looked amazing. So today I thought I would let you know what I thought, there are some good points and some bad points.
I was going out for a meal the other night and just felt in a purple mood, so I went for Kooky and oh my gosh, when I put it on I couldn't believe how bright it was. I've never had a purple quite that bright, but it was still a nice dark shade of purple - if that makes sense! I finally managed to make it look right, I can never seem to work the wands on lip glosses. So off I went for my meal, and my lips felt really odd and I kept getting bits in my mouth, about 20 minutes after applying the lip gloss, after I had got to the restaurant and sat down etc, I checked in the mirror and the sight was horrible. It had all started flaking off so I basically bad random patches on my lips of purple and the rest was normal! I re-applied it and again, around 15/20 minutes later exactly the same thing happened. So I ran off to the toilets to take it off, which is pretty hard with just tissue and water, but after scrubbing a but I managed it.
So I absolutely love how bright and amazing this product was, and it didn't feel sticky like a lip gloss, it felt really nice, until it started flaking off!

Thank you for reading, have you tried out this product? If so let me know what you thought!

Birthday!

So it was my best friends 20th birthday on thursday, but as she lives in Leeds now (my hatred for university splitting friends up continues) so I couldn't see her until tonight. A few of us all went round to her (extremely beautiful) house and had pizza and chocolate and wine and just chatted and caught up and it was so so lovely. I thought I would share with you what I bought for her, as it is sometimes hard to buy presents for someone who doesn't really want or need anything. I'm one of these people that would rather buy loads of little presents rather than one huge one, I just find it more fun! So as she is my bestie and I haven't seen her properly for ages (well two weeks, but since September it hasn't been that often!) so I thought I would spoilt her, because she really does deserve it - don't go all soppy on everyone bex, god.
So here are the presents I bought, just a few random things, although I may have gone a bit over board - which I do tend to do when buying presents, haha! As these were gifts I'm not going to add prices or anything because no doubt she'll read this, but if you want to know where I got anything from or how much it was then please do not hesitate to ask!

Obviously she had to have a colouring book/crayons and the most bad-ass card I could find!

Thank you for reading, what did you think of my gifts?
I'm really enjoying doing more lifestyle styled posts and letting you know what I'm doing, but I want to know what you think? What is your favourite type of post I do?

Celebration Haul!

So if you still haven't seen my video, or if you prefer reading than watching, I'm here to help! I asked on twitter who preferred video hauls and who preferred blog post hauls, and there was such a mixed reaction, I thought I would try to make you all happy!
If you want to watch the video then check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mQ1ZXUzp6A or just carry on reading!

I got a few bits from Pound World, I know what you're thinking, but bear with me! So I went in for a browse and saw these few bits, obviously for a pound each...

These Elegant nails in Classic French asnd Misty Grey, I just love them! They are both very subtle but super lovely looking!

I saw this and just had to buy it, everyone is going crazy about this gel nail stuff and I thought I would try this and see what I though!

I love love love my baby lips and use it all the time, so when I saw this for only a pound, I had to try it out. It also has SPF 20 which is always a plus!

So my skin has been a bit temperamental recently and I have a few black heads, so I thought I would try this product out, I remember loving T-Zone when I was about 13-16 kind of age, so hopefully it's as amazing as I thought it was back then!

Next I made a visit to Superdrug, mainly to start collecting points on my card which I had just registered online - and then as I paid I realised I had left my Superdrug card on the sofa - super idiot over here!

This matte nail paint by Barry M just made me fall in love, I have fallen for matte nails and now all my nail varnish can be matte! At at £2.99, it will be amazing if this stuff is as good as I am hoping.

These MUA LUXE lip lacquers look so amazing, the pigment is just crazily bright and I cannot wait to wear these, at £3 each they aren't extremely expensive for lip lacquer!

Next was a trip to Boots, which I was so so disappointed with, compared to my usual trips to Boots! I went to the one in my local town and retail park and this is all I found that I fancied!

I have been searching for a decent concealer for ages and ages - if you know any good ones, the please let me know! But I thought I would try this one, as I seem to have tried all of them now! This was only £2.99

I love having my nails painted, but I can't wear nail varnish to work. I always forget to take it off, or it takes me ages the night before so I don't tend to wear them painted at the moment. This was £4.99 and I am really really hoping this works! You literally dip your finger in the pot and your nail varnish is gone - apparently. Sounds too good to be true really, haha!

And last but definitely not least, with my Next gift voucher (from my interview) I bought this. It was £22 and I just fell in love, however I cannot get a decent picture of it - trust me, it's really nice. Also excuse my face, I wasn't really in the 'selfie' mood after a long day. It's a lovely blue colour with a lace back, I just so in love.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my shopping bag. I will see you all super soon.

I Got A New Job!

So, I did mention it on twitter but I thought I would do a blog post about my crazy day!
Basically I had phone interview last Friday for a position at Next, which is conveniently right next to my house. I thought this phone interview had gone terribly and I was sure I wouldn't hear back, but surprisingly a few days later I got a call saying they wanted to invite me in for the assessment stage. When I got there today I felt like I was entering the Hunger Games or something, there was two of us there fighting to get the one position, trying to win over the staff and prove that we were the better one to choose. I really really didn't like this, I hate competition and I don't like friction between people, and this girl acted like we were about to fight til death, it was just crazy!
The team 'assessing' me were so so lovely, I was with a group of guys and we just chatted about Family Guy and Catfish and just random stuff while I was working, and obviously in the end, I was the chosen one! (That is the 'short' version of the story, I would be here forever and put you all to sleep in I explained everything that happened)
So yeah, after all this had happened, I was presented with not only a job, but with a £10 gift card for Next and £10 cash, just for turning up, is it just me that thinks that is crazy?!
So obviously I went shopping, I had also still got a bit saved up over the past few weeks so a shopping spree was needed. And you guys always ask me for hauls, which is so hard when I have no money, so I thought I would do one for you, so really I bought this stuff for you guys! (is this excuse working?)
I will do a haul tomorrow for you all, there is something to be excited for! For those of you that are impatient, I've already done a haul video on the items I bought, which you can check out here :  http://youtu.be/2mQ1ZXUzp6A

Father Day Gift Ideas

So it's that time of year again when you have to figure out what the heck you can buy your dad for Fathers Day. He already has a draw full of socks and way too many ties, and what else do dads even like? So I thought I would give you a few ideas of things to buy.
Obviously there is the option of buying him something he needs, clothings or shoes or something for work? Or maybe a bottle of his favourite whiskey/rum etc. But my dad never seems to need anything and he isn't really a drinker, only the odd pint when he meets up with friends, so there is no point in me buying him alcohol that will sit in the cupboard for the next god knows how long!
All of these are a bit random and a bit of everything, and as always I've tried to keep it to cheaper things, there is nothing in here over £20, but also there are little things for like £3 in here too.

The Story of Me and My Dad £9.95 - Prezzy Box
Spaghetti Western Spaghetti Measurer £2.99 - I Want One Of Those
Digital Luggage Scale £8.99 - I Want One Of Those
Bottle Clock Budweister £14.49 - Red5
Jamie Oliver Cheeky Mug Gift Tin - Top Dad £8.99 - I Want One Of Those
Smartphone Projector £15.99 - I Want One Of Those
Scribble Writing Alarm Clock £12.95 - Prezzy Box
Personalised Bottle of Red Wine in Silk Lines Gift Box £19.95 - Prezzy Box
52 Things To Do While You Poo £6.95 - Red5

So there are a few little ideas that I liked! I hope you enjoyed them, what are you planning on getting your dad for Fathers Day?
